This old home was boarded-up and sat for decades untouched since the 1950s. The exterior had overgrown, but the abandoned home was not unnoticed by locals.
Finally one day someone was brave enough to explore the empty home and captured intriguing pictures with which one can only imagine about the family who once inhabited these now-empty rooms.
Some locals believed a family left the home broken-hearted after their child went missing and was never found. Others said it was haunted by a young bride who was killed by her husband on their wedding night.
nside the home, kitchen shelves are empty and look like they've not only been stripped of belongings, but the cabinets and floors are very dilapidated. Could it be simply from the home's age?
The stove was messy and covered with debris. Inside, notice there's a tray with foil, like someone had been cooking?..
A Frigidaire refrigerator from the 1930's was the first indication of how long ago this home was inhabited.
There were three bedrooms with pastel painted walls: pink, turquoise and this blue one. They all shared the same drapery, and closets that were left emptied except for old styled wire clothes hangers.
A pink bathroom appeared like it had been rummaged through, but bottles and toiletries were left behind. There was the hair product, Roux Rinse dating back to the 1950's. Wow, it's been sitting on the shelf for 60 years!
Rickety stairs led down to a huge basement, in there sat an old water heater, a washbasin, and near to the back, a strange machine.
Whoa, it's a washing machine on legs, and that gadget on the top looks like a wringer where water got squeezed out of wet clothes. This must be a ringer washing machine from the 1940's and surely would be a collector's item today. . . Amazing how our washing machines have come a long way since then!
